🚧 Big Things Are Happening in Taylors, SC 👀

From Full-Stack Dev to Community Builder — Why I’m All In on Main Street’s Revival

Hey there — I’m Chad Choquette, and this is a story about home. Not just the homes I’ve flipped or rented, but the community I’ve grown to love and believe in: Taylors, South Carolina.

Taylors is a town that doesn’t scream for attention. It doesn’t have skyscrapers or massive developments — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. It’s got roots. It’s got heart. And now, it’s got momentum.

We’re at a unique moment:
👉 Opportunity is here.
👉 Vision is clear.
👉 And the doors are open to build something that really matters.

👨‍💻 How I Got Here: From Code to Concrete

I started out in tech — working as a full-stack web developer, building systems, writing code, and learning how to solve problems in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.

But a few years ago, I took a detour that changed everything. I flipped a house. Then another. Then I got into short-term rentals. And suddenly, I wasn’t just working with code — I was working with people, homes, neighborhoods.

It was hospitality with a construction twist — and I realized I loved it. I wasn’t just creating websites anymore; I was creating experiences, environments, and value.

That mindset—designing for how people live, interact, and feel—is now baked into everything I do.

🏡 Why Taylors? Why Now?

There’s something unique about Taylors. Nestled between Greenville and Greer, it’s a town that still feels real — like the kind of place you remember growing up in, where neighbors say hello and main streets tell stories.

But for too long, parts of Taylors have sat underutilized, forgotten by bigger development plays. What I see, though, is a blank canvas with character already built in.

Main Street isn’t just a strip of buildings — it’s a place with soul. It just needs the right attention, the right energy, and the right kind of investment:
✅ People-first
✅ Locally rooted
✅ Future-facing

🚀 The Project That Changed the Game

I’ve worked on a lot of things in the past few years — house flips, Airbnb rentals, investment properties — but this current project in downtown Taylors has taken off faster than anything I’ve ever done.

We’re transforming an old gas station and 6 acres of land into Taylor Station — a family-friendly entertainment destination with:

  • ⛳ 36 holes of miniature golf

  • 🍕 A locally run pizza restaurant inside the renovated 7-Eleven

  • 🎶 An open-air pavilion for events, and live music

  • 🛝 A fenced-in playground for families

  • 🌳 Walking paths that tie it all together

This isn’t just about creating a place to hang out. It’s about building a new heartbeat for this part of town — a place that’s welcoming, lively, and made for community connection.

And the wild part?
📈 Zoning gave us the green light.
👷 Teams are moving fast.
📣 The community is already buzzing.

We’re not just dreaming it — we’re building it.

🎥 Huge shoutout to Kalib, who’s been capturing the behind-the-scenes of this journey. It’s not always glamorous — there are bumps, questions, and real moments of doubt. But it’s real. And that’s what makes it worth it.

🔗 What’s Next?

In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be sharing:

  • Design mockups and progress photos

  • Investment opportunities for those who want to be part of it

  • Local partnerships we’re forming

  • And some behind-the-scenes stories — the wins and the challenges

Whether you’re a Taylors local, a curious onlooker, or someone passionate about revitalizing small towns — I’d love to connect.

We’re building more than just a venue.
We’re building a new chapter for Taylors — and everyone’s invited.
